A KILLER AMONG US (LYNETTE EASON) WOMEN OF JUSTICE BOOK THREE

Story Description:

Kit Kenyon is a first-rate hostage negotiator.  Noah Lambert is a good detective with excellent instincts.  These new partners have hardly had time to get used to each other when they are thrown into a grisly murder case.  As evidence mounts up and more victims are found, Kit and Noah realize they are on the hunt for a serial killer.  The problem is, he may be hunting one of them too.

With nail-biting suspense, clever plot twists, and a hint of romance, A Killer Among Us is the latest thriller from Lynette Eason.

My Review:

The story opens with thirty-two-year-old hostage negotiator, Detective Kit Kenyon, in the middle of a stand-off with a forty-four-year-old man named Virgil Mann who had taken his wife, Ann, and their twelve-year-old daughter, Melanie, as hostages.  Kit’s new partner of three weeks, Noah, wasn’t with her as he was tied up at a murder scene.  Kit was on her own, although she did have the sharp shooters outside ready at any moment to take the suspect down.

Noah Lambert is a religious man who had a “running dialogue” with God when it came to his life, especially his job.  It wasn’t unlike Noah to hand out business cards with his name and that of his Pastor’s to people he thought could use some help.

Kit and Noah are investigating a serial murder case.  With victims piling up and the same item left at each killing, Kit and Noah are perplexed as the evidence piles up and more and more victims are found.  Soon they realize that not only is this serial killer hunting other people, he may be hunting one of them!

This was a great mystery with lots of suspense and was fast moving.  There was action at almost every turn which kept you guessing over and over who this serial killer was.  I was quite surprised as the killer wasn’t the one I had suspected all along.  This one kept me turning the pages until I was done and I’d highly recommend it to anyone.  Great read!
